Another shot at Alien Adventurers

Howdy, everyone! I hope you're all enjoying your miniatures.

If you find that you want MORE Alien Adventurers, I wanted to turn your attention to THIS GREAT CAMPAIGN by my friend and business partner, Tom Anders of Impact! Miniatures. His campaign is totally legit, and Impact has licensed the rights to produce and sell Alien Adventurers. This is great because my supply of them is essentially exhausted and this gives you a chance to add miniatures that you missed the first time around.

Want the minis is 28mm instead of 32mm? Or want them bigger? Or, I don't know... green? You should hit up Tom and I'm guessing he can help you out.

The campaign is about to enter its last week and is already funded, so dive in!

Thanks, as always, for your support!

Done done

Is this a term used in industries other than engineering and construction? If not, it should be. You have an opportunity to start right now, because Alien Adventurers is "done done," meaning absolutely and completely finished.

The small handful of stragglers with hitches in credit card payments, order clarity, or shipping charges were either handled or forgiven and I just got notice that these were picked up by the USPS and whisked away to their new homes.

I hope you're enjoying your miniatures, or if you're one of these final shipments that you will enjoy them very soon. The team of enthusiastic professionals that brought you Alien Adventurers will be returning soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that.

It has been an absolute pleasure going through this campaign with you and I thank you, from the very deepest parts of my heart, very much for your support.

:)

Planning the next project
over 1 year ago – Sun, Jun 17, 2018 at 01:36:04 AM

It's a curse, but I don't usually get much rest after finishing one project prior to starting noodling on the next. One major possibility is a new miniatures endeavor, so I was hoping to get some feedback from you, my beloved backers.

Now that you have your miniatures, what do you love about them? What should we do differently next time?

What genre should our next miniatures cater to? More of our Breachworld-inspired minis, which are pretty unique in the marketplace? Or more widely-applicable fantasy figures? Stick with player character figures or focus on pawns and bosses for enemies to put on the map? Maybe not do characters at all, but focus on creatures and monsters?

Would you support another campaign on Kickstarter? If the miniatures were simply produced and made available retail, would you be more or less likely to buy?

You can make comments here if you like, or reach out to me by email or social media. Links are below.

Thanks again for all of your support. I can't wait to do it again!

Alien Adventurers is fulfilled!
over 1 year ago – Tue, May 29, 2018 at 08:21:09 AM

All remaining orders for Alien Adventurers ship today, with the exception of a few backers who have an issue of some sort with their survey or payment; those will be sorted out ASAP. This has been an exceptional campaign and I want to sincerely thank you all for your incredible support.

This campaign was all about a learning experience for me. I had never taken anything through a manufacturing process and wanted to dip my toes into that part of the business. I learned more than I imagined possible! I'd definitely do a few things differently the next time around, and I look forward to doing just that.

This campaign would never have been a success without a great supporting team. I'd like to recognize and thank Kevin Cayuela Borg, artist extraordinaire, who helped bring these characters to life. Thanks to Eric Quigley for the great work on the concept art of the characters used in the campaign. Nick Hanger from Troll Forged Miniatures delivered amazing resin casts and a lot of great advice. And finally, Tom Anders from Impact! Miniatures has been an absolute dream to work with and was tireless... TIRELESS... in his extraordinary efforts to get every 3D print of every mini right, through some difficult design challenges. You should patronize any or all of these find gentlemen.

What's next? I always have a few schemes brewing. Some involve more miniatures, some are pure writing projects, and some are into new areas of gaming. If you have something you'd like to see, speak up, especially on the miniatures front! I'm itching to work with this team again. There is more Breachworld coming soon as well, so be sure to CHECK THAT OUT.

Did you miss out, or want to add to your Alien Adventurers collection? Are you a distributor or retailer interested in carrying product? Email me at jasonrichards.net@gmail.com and we'll see what we can do. A more permanent retail home for this and future offerings should be on its way, so stay tuned.

Other than that, if you have any questions or comments, give me a shout by email or in the comments, or at any of the below social media outlets. I'm always here to help or chat.
